Privacy Policy

Effective date: 2026-06-21

This Privacy Policy applies to the PipelineWarden app for mobile devices, together with any related services operated by WALKOWIAK (the “Application”). WALKOWIAK is referred to in this policy as the “Service Provider”.

Core privacy statement: the Application does not collect, log, store, sell, or share personal information when you download and use it. Registration is not required.

What information does the Application obtain and how is it used?

The Application does not collect, log, or store any personal information through normal use. The Application is designed as a pipeline inspection logbook and field survey utility for local workflow records such as patrol setup, station readings, defect notes, threshold checks, and report organization.

If the Application is used with an active internet connection, ordinary technical protocol data, such as an ephemeral IP address, may be transmitted by network infrastructure to facilitate connectivity. The Service Provider does not retain this data or use it for tracking.

Does the Application collect precise real-time location information?

The Application does not collect precise real-time location information of your mobile device for the Service Provider. If users enter, save, or attach GPS coordinates, station locations, route notes, coating defect photos, cathodic protection readings, P/S Potential values, CIS values, Soil Resistivity readings, repair timeframe notes, or inspection findings inside the app, those records are intended to remain local to the user’s device unless a future feature clearly states otherwise.

Do third parties see and/or have access to information obtained by the Application?

Since the Application does not collect personal information through normal use, no personal data is shared with third parties. WALKOWIAK does not sell personal data.

Data Retention

WALKOWIAK does not retain personal data from normal use of PipelineWarden because the Application does not collect, log, or store personal information on WALKOWIAK servers.

Inspection-related records created in the app, such as patrol names, line IDs, segment names, route notes, standard selections, line environment categories, station intervals, target station counts, GPS coordinates, P/S Potential values, CIS values, Soil Resistivity readings, coating defect photos, environmental notes, defect flags, severity classes, repair timeframe notes, threshold presets, report headers, date stamps, station reading charts, finding summaries, reusable templates, unit preferences, default inspection intervals, and app settings, are intended to remain on the user’s device unless a future feature clearly explains otherwise.

If you voluntarily contact WALKOWIAK by email or through another communication channel, WALKOWIAK may retain that message only as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your request, maintain business records, or meet applicable legal obligations.

Data Deletion

Because PipelineWarden does not collect personal information through normal use, there is no personal data stored by WALKOWIAK to delete from normal app activity.

You can delete local app data by using available in-app clearing options, deleting local records where applicable, or uninstalling the Application from your device. Uninstalling the app removes the Application from your device according to your operating system’s normal uninstall process.

If you have voluntarily contacted WALKOWIAK and want a previously provided message or contact detail deleted, you may request deletion by contacting support@walkowiak.ink.

What are my opt-out rights?

Since the Application does not collect personal information through normal use, uninstalling it simply removes the Application from your device. You may also avoid voluntarily contacting the Service Provider if you do not want to provide contact details.

Children

The Application is not intended for children under 13 years of age, or such higher age as required by applicable law. The Service Provider does not knowingly solicit personal data from children or market to them. Since the Application does not collect personal information through normal use, children’s data is not at risk from use of the Application alone.

Security

Because the Application does not collect personal data through normal use, the risk of personal data exposure is minimal. However, no security system is completely secure. The Service Provider uses reasonable safeguards for systems it controls and any information voluntarily provided directly to it.

Data Breach Notification

Since the Application does not collect personal data through normal use, the risk of a data breach affecting your personal data is minimal. If a breach occurs involving information you voluntarily provided directly to WALKOWIAK, the Service Provider will notify you as required by applicable law.

It is not certified regulatory compliance software, official pipeline safety certification software, engineering approval software, legal compliance software, emergency response software, SCADA replacement, corrosion engineering replacement, or a substitute for qualified pipeline integrity professionals, applicable regulations, enterprise integrity management systems, official inspection procedures, or certified engineering judgment.

Changes

The Service Provider may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted with a revised effective date. Where required by law, the Service Provider will seek consent before material changes take effect.

Previous versions of this Privacy Policy may be made available upon request by contacting the Service Provider.

If you voluntarily provide information to the Service Provider and processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time without affecting processing carried out before withdrawal.
